Popular US beat combo plays to large crowd on island

A musical group from the United States, the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers', played to a large crowd on an island in the middle of the River Dauagava on July 27.

The four-piece ensemble known for their mid-strength pop-rock melodies with occasional forays in the direction of funk, entertained an audience of some 30,000 persons who had paid handsomely for the privilege.
