More than 4,000 young people from Riga will dance at the Arena Riga on April 29 in a performance that is a gift by Riga's young people to Latvia for its upcoming centenary.

Young people, from pre-schoolers up to young adults will dance nine folk dances made for the occasion. They'll be performing to the tune of Valts Pūce's "Trejdeviņi gaismas tilti" (Twenty seven bridges made of light.)

The Riga School Dance Festival first took place in 2007 and last happened in 2011. Click here to read more or get tickets.

Prior to the main performance, on April 26 the culture center Imanta will see a minority folk collective concert titled The World Has so Many Colors. Entrance is free.
