Competing in the F35 final, Bergs' best result was 14.55 meters. Xinhan Fu of China won the gold medal with 15.19 meters, while Hernan Emanuel Urra of Argentina won silver with a 14.91-meter throw.
This is the fourth Paralympic medal for Bergs. In Athens he won silver in shot put and bronze in discus throw, while at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, Bergs won silver in shot put.
As reported, Aigars Apinis won Latvia's first gold medal at the Rio Paralympic Games last week in the men's discus throw, and Diana Dadzite set a new world record in the women's javelin throw on Saturday, winning Latvia's second gold medal at the Games.
Officials took to Twitter to congratulate the strongman.
