TechChill offers cash prize for promising startup pitchers

Take note – story published 6 years ago

Latvian startup event TechChill has announced details of a pitching competition that will land the winner a 10,000 euro prize.

Early and seed stage startups are invited to apply to the Fifty Founders battle at TechChill and compete not just for investor attention, but also the main prize.

The winner will receive 10 000 EUR in cash - no equity and no strings attached! The competition is hosted in partnership with Startup Wise Guys, the leading B2B, SaaS startup accelerator in Europe.

TechChill is reinventing its pitch battle format this year. In previous years many promising startups didn't get to pitch on the big stage, as the event only offered the opportunity to the top five finalists. This year, the event will showcase 50 of the most promising startups and offer them all stage time on the first day of the event to pitch their story and direct access to an audience of international VC's, business angels, accelerators, media and of course, the official jury.

The finalists will still take the main stage on the last day to an audience of 2000 people and compete for the 10 000 EUR prize in cash, with no strings attached, for the winning team.

All seed and early stage startups are welcome to apply, with no country restrictions.

Previous TechChill pitch battle winners include Baltic success stories such as Infogr.am, TrackDuck, Edurio, Nordigen and Sprayprinter.

TechChill has grown to become one of the leading tech, startup and entrepreneurship inspiration events in the region. For 2 days in February 8-9, 2018, the event in Riga will host up to 2000 international attendees and around 100 speakers, including CEO's, founders, and leading minds in fintech, blockchain, VR/AR, AI, hardware, testing, IoT and more.
