The most significant growth in turnover in the non-food product group was recorded in retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (of 23.7 %), retail sale of information and communication equipment (of 19.8 %), retail sale of clothing and footwear (of 14.0 %) and in retail sale of hardware, paints and glass (of 9.5 %). In turn, a drop in turnover was experienced in retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (of 3.0 %), as well as in retail sale of automotive fuel (of 2.2 %).
Total retail trade turnover at current prices increased by 6.2 % (not taking into account the calendar influence).
In June 2017, compared to May, retail trade turnover decreased by 0.7 % (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Turnover of retail trade in food products dropped by 0.8 %, while turnover of retail trade in non-food products decreased by 0.6 %.
A drop in turnover was experienced in retail sale of information and communication equipment (of 3.9 %), retail sale of automotive fuel (of 3.6 %), retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (of 1.9 %) and in retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (of 1.8 %). In turn, growth in turnover could be observed in retail sale of clothing and footwear (of 6.2 %), retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (of 5.1 %), as well as in retail sale via stalls and markets (of 3.4 %).
Compared to May, in June 2017 the total retail trade turnover at current prices (not taking into account seasonality) rose by 0.4 %.
