According to flash estimates by Latvia's Central Statistics Office, in the 2nd quarter of 2017, compared to the corresponding period of 2016, GDP grew by 4.1 % according to seasonally and working days non-adjusted data and by 4.8 % according to seasonally and working days adjusted data.
GDP growth was propelled by an 8% increase in the volume of industrial production, 14% increase in construction, as well as a 3% increase in the service sector.
While compared to the 1st quarter of 2017, the GDP value (seasonally and working days adjusted data) increased by 1.3% in Q2.
