Latvia's flag carrier airline airBaltic flew close to 20% more passengers in the first half of 2017 over the same period last year, the airline told the press on July 18.

Six-month results

The airline also flew 23,461 flights, which is 13% more than last year.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at 73.5% in the first six months of 2017. The load factor in June was 83.1%, almost two percentage points up comparing to June 2016.

In June this year airBaltic carried 372,219 passengers or 23% more than in the same period of 2016, setting a new record for the number of passengers carried in June.
