While most of the roads that are still closed are of local significance, the regional Viļaka – Kārsava (P45) by Pazlauska and Baltinava.

While on Monday the Ruskulova–Bērzpils (V493) road was also flooded

Appearing on Latvian Television, Jānis Lange said that about €1m would be required to fix the roads following the flood, and that €73,000 have already been spent for the task.

Repair works will begin in earnest when water levels will have fallen in the rivers across Latgale.
