Latvian officials send condolences to UK

Latvian officials sent their condolences to the United Kingdom June 4 following what appeared to be yet another terrorist outrage. 

According to UK press reports, 7 people were killed and many more injured when a van ploughed down pedestrians in the London Bridge district of the English capital city, after which several men are believed to have attacked passers-by with knives.

There were no immediate indications that Latvian citizens were among the victims, but the Latvian embassy in London as set up a hotline for anyone requring consular assistance.

President Raimonds Vejonis led those offering condolences and support.
