However, before that a meeting is planned between Prime Minister Māris Kucinskis and Maksim Sokolov as well as the Russian delegation on Monday 14 August.
The meeting will be chaired by Co-Chairmen of the IGC - Uldis Augulis, Latvia's Minister of Transport, and Maksim Sokolov, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.

"IGC is a two-way format for negotiating important issues of practical cooperation. The full name of the IGC is Latvia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical, Humanitarian, and Cultural Cooperation. IGC has four working groups in the areas of economic, humanitarian, regional cooperation and transport. During the upcoming meeting, the IGC will discuss the accomplishments and opportunities for further cooperation. The previous meeting of the IGC took place on 21 November 2013 in Moscow," the news release said.
The meeting of the IGC will take place on Tuesday 15 August, at 10:00 - 12:30 o’clock in the Ministry of Transport.
Sokolov has been Russian transport minister since 2012.
