.The Dutch Defense Ministry has acceded to the memorandum of understanding between Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and the United Kingdom on establishment, administration and operation of the NATO StratCom COE and the memorandum of understanding concerning the functional relationship of the center.
Upon joining the NATO StratCom COE, the Netherlands will send a senior expert to work at the center and will also be making the annual contributions required for the functioning of the center.
The Latvian parliament also passed in the final reading the bill confirming the increase in the number of personnel posted to the NATO StratCom COE by the Lithuanian Defense Ministry.
The NATO StratCom COE became functional in January 2014. Its mission is to contribute to the Alliance's communication processes by providing comprehensive analyses, timely advice and practical support to the Alliance.
