Latvia has the 3rd highest percentage of fiber connections in broadband subscriptions among member states of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), according to the latest release on the digital economy by said organization.
A whopping 59.7% of broadband subscriptions are fiber connections in Latvia, compared to the OECD average of 17.9%.
Latvia ranks ahead of well-connected states like Sweden (46%) and Estonia (33.1%) and places third behind Japan and Korea where the fiber share of broadband connections is 72.6% and 69.4% respectively.
