Latvian may be among injured in St Petersburg explosion

Russian media report that a Latvian citizen may be among those injured in the St Petersburg terrorist attack of April 3rd.

LSM's Russian-language portal spotted the information, which was attributed to to health officials in St Petersburg who said citizens of four countries in addition to the Russian Federation are among the wounded.

Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Raimonds Jansons told rus.lsm.lv he had no confirmation that any Latvians were among the injured.

Russian news agency TASS, citing health official Valery Kolabutin, said citizens of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Latvia were among those being treated in St Petersburg's hospitals.

Therefore at the time of writing it should be stressed the information remains unconfirmed.
