A report just released offers a "health check" of the state of media in the Baltic states in recent years.

Titled "Baltic Media Health Check" the report produced by the Baltic Media Centre of Excellence describes itself as:

"An annual journalistic snapshot study aimed at measuring the current ‘temperature’ of the media markets in the Baltics, identifying the present trends, leaders and threats, as well as examining the most significant common issues, which, in this year’s study, is the regional and hyperlocal media and their future scenarios in the environment of growing pressures - digital, political, financial and other."

The report reproduces various statistics regarding viewer and reader figures in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania using data mainly from the period 2014-2015 but is slated as the report for 2015-2016 as it also includes commentaries on trends in 2016.
