Dog days peaking this week

Take note – story published 6 years ago

This week sees the peak of the sultry dog days of summer 2017, with temperatures of up to +30C expected over the week.

A veritable heatwave will last until Wednesday, albeit sometimes interrupted by thunderstorms also bringing hail and blustery wind.

Temperatures of about +22..+27C will prevail until Wednesday when they might rise up to +30C. The nights will be warm with a tropical night with temperatures of +20C expected on the night to Wednesday.

The latter half of the week will cool down to about +19..+24C during daytime and maybe a little colder on Sunday.

It will be slightly rainy with thunderstorms expected and winds picking up over the weekend.

Even though August is expected to have some hot days, this week is expected to have the hottest weather we'll see this year.
