Taking place August 23 at the K. Suns cinema (Elizabetes iela 83/85) in Rīga from 17:00 until 20:00, all the featured shorts will be in Ukrainian with English and Latvian subtitles.
"This August we invite you to join us for the third time in celebrating Ukrainian Day of Independence with warm laughter, delicious food, and great company," say the organizers, promising "new short comedies filmed by Ukrainian directors on everyday topics that each and every one of us can relate to. They show the life that we all live and experience, but they also bring a little laughter to every situation. It will be a time to enjoy a Friday evening in a fun atmosphere with family and friends."
Mystery special guests are also promised as well as free drinks and snacks plus a chance to discuss the films with their directors via a video link with Kyiv.
Entrance to the event is free of charge.
