Big Autumn Festival
On Saturday, September 14, the Big Autumn Festival takes place at the Mežaparks Park, Atpūtas Alley (near the Rīga Zoo).
Street food and snacks, local producers and crafts markets, recreation and entertainment are promised.
The festival takes place 11:00 to 16:00 and is free for all.
Latvian Jazz Standard
This Friday at 20:00, the Jāzeps Vītols' Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA) Jazz Department Combo will welcome you with a unique programme - Latvian jazz standards. You will hear both older, closer to the heart songs and the most modern compositions by local musicians. Indriķis Veitners, the Head of the Jazz Department of the JVLMA, will be with you throughout the evening, adding stories and insights to the musical evening.
Venue: Kalnciema Street 32a, Rīga. Entrance is free.
Baltic Poetry Evening
The Poetry Days festival is still ongoing, with a Baltic evening taking place Friday at 18:00 at the NOASS center on AB Dambis (Mūkusalas Street, Rīga).
The Baltic Poetry Evening will be attended by Carolina Pihelgas - an Estonian writer, poet, translator, editor, Estonian poet Piret Põldver, and two Lithuanian poets Ernestas Noreika and Vytautas Stankus.
