Latvian 'Flow' collects two more prizes at Athens IFF

Gints Zilbalodis' animation film "Straume/Flow" has won the Golden Athena Award, the highest award of the Athens IFF, the director announced on X.

In addition, it won the festival's Audience Award. "The cat is very happy!" says the team.

With these awards, Flow has won 13 in total.

The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. It won the Audience Award, the Jury Prize, the Best Music Award and the Distribution Award at the prestigious Annecy Festival. There were also prizes at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. Flow has been nominated for the European Parliament's LUX Audience Award and is Latvia's entry for the Oscars.
