Independence Day fireworks to take place in three Latvian cities

On November 18, fireworks will be displayed in Ventspils, Jūrmala, and Ogre, while multimedia performances will be shown elsewhere, according to information on the municipalities' websites, LETA reports.

Three municipalities will host fireworks displays on the evening of Monday, November 18. A concert "Let's meet, let's sing!" will be held in Ventspils' Great Square at 6 pm, followed by fireworks. The square in front of the Ogre Municipality Culture Centre will host fireworks at 6 pm. Jūrmala Municipality will host fireworks at the Kauguri Culture House at 10 pm.

Other municipalities will have laser lights and multimedia performances this year.

In Riga, a laser light show at the Freedom Monument will be held at 8:10 pm.

Projections of "Children Draw Latvia" by Pēteris Rozenbergs of the Cēsis City Art School will be shown on the facade of the Cēsis New Castle at 5 pm.

A multimedia story "Awakening in the Power of the Spirit" will be shown on the walls of the Dobele Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6 pm.

At 6 pm, various places in the Ropaži municipality will have light, sound and video performances "Staro Ropaži".

In Jelgava, on a multimedia story "A gift for Latvia on its birthday" will be shown on the tower of Trinity Church at 10 pm.

The Turaida Museum Reserve will present a light and sound story from November 16 to 17, from 5 to 8 pm.
