Baltic Sea Docs returns to Rīga this September

From September 1 to 8 this year, Baltic Sea Docs, the 28th edition of the National Film Center's documentary forum, will bring together documentary filmmakers from different countries and present a program of internationally renowned documentaries, the organizers say.

This year, the films will be screened at the Splendid Palace cinema in Riga, online at filmas.lv, as well as in separate screenings in Liepāja, Rēzekne, Cēsis, and Talsi.

Meanwhile, 26 documentaries in progress from 17 countries have been selected for the Baltic Sea Docs Co-Production Forum. Six of the films are being produced in Latvian film studios, the festival organizers informed.

From September 3 to 8, the Baltic Sea Docs film program will be screened at the Splendid Palace cinema in Riga. As usual, pupils, students, and pensioners will be able to attend the screenings with free tickets, which will be available at the cinema box office at the end of August.

The program will be available at the forum's website.
