Latvia's 'Flow' nominated for European movie award

The animated film that has taken Latvia and the festival circuit by storm, Gints Zilbalodis' 'Flow', has now been nominated for a top European award.

Five films have been shortlisted for the 2025 LUX Audience Award run by the European Parliament and those who have seen them (or even those who have not) can have their say and decide who will win the LUX Audience Award by rating the five nominated films from one (poor) to five stars (excellent).

Those taking part in the vote – which runs until April 2025 – will also have the chance to win a range of prizes, including a trip to the European Parliament to attend the LUX Award Ceremony and meet directors and film crews of the nominees.

The European Parliament will be organising free screenings in all European Union countries with subtitles in 24 EU official languages. In addition, you can watch the film(s) by attending a commercial screening in a cinema near you.
