Riga film fest reveals short-format test screenings

The Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) has annouced its line-up or SHORT RIGA Test Screenings – a one of a kind industry event in the Baltic region focusing specifically on the in-depth evaluation of short films.

Curator Lenka Tyrpakova has chosen 12 works-in-progress from the Baltics and this year’s guest country – Portugal. Comprising 9 fiction films, 1 animation, 1 documentary, and 1 hybrid project, the line-up includes emerging talents as well as experienced professionals whose previous works have been screened at Cannes, Berlinale, and Annecy.

In two pitching sessions on 25 and 26 October projects will be presented to industry experts who will provide in-depth professional feedback and notes to boost chances for each film’s successful festival run, and will choose one winner of the BBPosthouse prize – post-production services worth EUR 5 000.
