Latvian choir handed grand award in Japan

The Latvian choir Maska was laureled three golden medals at the 35th Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Competition – in the Renaissance and Baroque category, the Contemporary category, and the overall “Grand Prix!” competition, the choir said July 20.

On August 3, the Maska choir will share the stage with nine of the best European choirs competing for the title Eurovision Choir of the Year. The winner will be selected by a tripartite jury. The competition will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden.
