From September 25 to December 13, the Arsenāls gallery of the National Art Museum will host the exhibition Watercolor in Latvia. 19th–21st century. As the organizers say a watercolor exhibition of such magnitude will be held for the first time in the history of the Latvian National Museum of Art.

The exhibition celebrates Latvia's diverse watercolor painting that includes historical, mythological, and everyday motifs, including acts, landscapes and still lifes.

The exhibition follows the development of Latvian watercolor from the Baltic Germans of the 19th century to the newest Latvian watercolor artists.

The exhibition is supplemented by a catalog and a comprehensive schedule of events that includes meetings and talks with niche experts, artists, along with guided tours, creative workshops, and so on.
