Take note – story published 7 years ago

On Saturday Latvia's museums will entertain, enthrall, and enchant until dawn during the European Museum Night in one of the most favorite and most-attended public events of the year.

In Latvia Museum Night will take place for the twelfth time throughout the land, involving more than a hundred museums and dozens of similarly profiled cultural institutions throwing surprising all-nighters for your wonder and amazement.

Well-known places like the National Art Museum, the War Museum, Exhibition Hall Arsenāls, and everywhere else will be available for your perusal.

The tradition is for participating museums to keep their doors open free-of-charge from about 7 p.m. until the crack of dawn, when curators and museum guides can finally close up for breakfast Sunday morning.

Many bookstores will work longer hours, offering discounts for books, books, books!
