Musical treats from Latvia in store for Londoners this week

Anyone within striking distance of the English capital, London, has the chance to experience some of the very best in classical music from Latvia this week.

November 14 will see an impressive line-up of talent performing at the famous Wigmore Hall in central London including violinist Baiba Skride and her pianist sister Lauma, another piano virtuoso in the form of Antonina Suhanova and chamber ensemble Trio Palladio.

The program includes Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Latvian composers Pēteris Vasks and Jazeps Vitols​​​​​​.

The concert begins Wednesday 14 November at 19:30 and is so special it even gets an introduction from Latvia's ambassador to the UK, Baiba Braže.

Tickets are likely to be in very high demand and are available via Wigmore Hall's website.
