Light show at Venta Rapid
The Venta Rapid in Kuldīga, western Latvia, will be on Friday and Saturday set alight with artificial lighting starting from 9 p.m. as part of the Restaurant Week. This will be the first time such a thing will be done, so don't miss it.
Gallery opening
While those who prefer standing about with a glass of wine in their hand looking busy may attend the re-opening of the Careva art gallery.
"Firstly, there will be a solo show by Anna Salmane. Secondly, we have a very exciting curated show coming up with a title "Games that people play". This will be the first time ever that we are doing a group show and finally we get to live up to our promise of exhibiting Baltic, Nordic and Eastern European art. Names of the artists will be kept secret till the last moment, so you will have to be present to see what we will have in store for you," the organizers say. Friday, 6 p.m.
Live painting
The siltais zīmējums (warm painting) series is set to continue with a show at the cozy NicePlace cafe. Artists Lote Vilma Vītiņa and Varis Klausītājs will be present. "The painting is warm, because it's a live," says the event decription. Friday, 6.30 p.m.
