Latgalian recipes: "Murcovka"

This recipe is taken from "Īsakūd Latgolā", a program on Latvian Television exploring the culinary delights of the Latgale region in Latvia. Recipes don't get much simpler than this one.

Ingredients:

1/2 loaf of rye bread

1-2 onions

hemp seed oil

salt, pepper

 

Directions:

1. Cut the bread into small cubes and finely chop the onions.

2. Put the bread into a bowl, add the onions, the oil, and salt and pepper to taste.
