BBC tells life story of Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has produced a new radio documentary outlining the life story of former Latvian president Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, who served two terms as head of state from 1999-2007.

The half-hour show features an extended interview with the former president and can be heard at the BBC Sounds website. It forms part of a series titled Her Story Made History looking at women who have made their mark in political life.
