Take note – story published 4 years ago

A short documentary telling the tale of the creation of a special glass window in Rīga's Dome cathedral is now available for the first time with English subtitles.

Titled "With Passion For Freedom" it traces how the important events of the barricades in 1991 are recorded in a  specially-commissioned window and was originally broadcast on the LNT television channel earlier this year.

The film outlines the story behind a window in the Dome Cathedral's Mary Chapel and will be of particular interest to anyone planning a visit to the cathedral, where the window can be admired both inside and outside thanks to its unique design.

The film was produced by the Ascendum association and directed by Ilze Stade and features many of the people involved in the project. It can be watched below.
