Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, the soloist of the group, said: "The stage is grand, the sound is fantastic, this is exactly what we hoped to see at the big competition. Our performance was polished at the emotional level, and we are confident that the performance will be impressive. The only thing that noticeably hindered the performance today was that yesterday all the suitcases of the Latvian delegation were lost at the airport, which also contained our stage costumes, so today we had to go on stage in our everyday clothes."
The head of the Latvian delegation, Guntars Gulbiņš, also commented on the luggage incident: "The situation in which the first rehearsal has to be held without stage costumes is, of course, very unpleasant, because it prevents you from feeling the full potential of the performance. The good news is that the problem was solved surprisingly quickly, the suitcases have been found and already tonight the stage costumes, as well as everything necessary for the performance, will be delivered to our hotel."
The group will appear in the first semi-final of Eurovision on May 9 alongside Norway, Malta, Serbia, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, Moldova, Sweden, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Finland. The second semi-final of Eurovision will be held on May 11, and the final on May 13.
