Voldiņš will take up the position of chairman of the board of LNOB on November 4, when the term of office of the current chairman of the board, Egils Siliņš, will end.
"I value the extensive experience of the candidate nominated for the position of chairman of the board in the field of culture and public administration, and I believe that his vision for the development of LNOB will bring considerable results in the coming years," said Minister of Culture Agnese Lāce (Progressives).
However, no appointments were made regarding vacancies for two other LNOB board members, so a repeat competition will be announced. Applicants who participated in the previously announced competition are also eligible to apply for the repeat competition.
The task of the LNOB board is to develop and implement the institution's operation and development strategy for a five-year period.
The monthly gross salary of LNOB board members is from 7,047 to 7,830 euros.
