On Saturday, February 25, Latvian musicians will unite for the second charity concert "Freedom for Ukraine", the organizers said.

The concert will take place in the square by the Congress Hall (Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5, Rīga) from 12:00 to 17:00.

"The concert is a voluntary support measure of the culture industry for Ukraine, which is suffering from Russia's large-scale military aggression. Music is an instrument with the help of which we can support Ukraine and protest against the Russian war," said the organizers.

The first part of the concert will feature Rīga choirs and the orchestra "Rīga", whereas later, different Latvian musicians will perform. The concert will be broadcasted by LSM and LTV1.

During the concert, donations will be open for the charity platform Ziedot.lv's initiative "Light for Ukraine!" The funds will be channeled for the purchase of energy-efficient light and heat sources for Ukrainian citizens.

Last year, a similar concert already took place on February 25, and unfortunately this year it must be repeated. The public is also encouraged to form a path of candles from the Ukrainian to the Russian embassy.
