August 13 will bring the return of a unique multi-genre music festival which involves spectators floating on water.

This will be the third year that the territory of the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum and Lake Jugla have played host to the "Laivā" (In a boat) festival which involves having part of the audience on land, but part sitting in boats.

Artists this year will include drum and bagpipe music group "Auļi", hip-hop artist Ozols together with the Latvian Radio big band, guitarist Mārcis Auziņš and the group “DAGAMBA” – cellist Valters Pūce and pianist Dainis Tenis.

Listeners can enjoy concerts around a 360-degree stage on land or take the exotic and romantic option of a boat on the lake.

The headline act will be "Igudesman & Joo", a duo comprising classical musicians Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo, whose shows combine comedy with classical music and popular culture references.

The festival will open its doors to visitors on August 13 at 16.00 and will last until midnight. Tickets can be purchased at bilesuserviss.lv.
