Sail to a floating music festival in Latvia

Musical bands Dagamba and Tautumeitas will organize a festival on Lake Jugla near Rīga on August 8, intended for spectators in boats, representatives informed on June 26.

The boat festival builds a bridge -- so to speak -- between traditional, classical values and the modern world - a crossover. It styles itself the first crossover, inter-genre music festival in the Baltic States.

“We've been dreaming of organizing a crossover music festival for some time. This music genre is currently very popular in the world, also represented by, for example, David Garret, 2Cellos, Apocalyptica, etc. We are excited at the launch of this idea, which will also mark a new beginning for Dagamba, because this will be the last concert in our current setup,” says Valters Pūce, author of the idea of the festival and founder of Dagamba.

The entrance to the festival is intended only for visitors in boats.
