57 athletes will represent Latvia in Beijing Olympics

On Wednesday, the Latvian Olympic Committee (LOK) approved 57 athletes in 11 disciplines to represent Latvia at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the LOK said January 19.

The team includes 32 individual sports athletes, plus 25 hockey players. Latvian athletes in Beijing will represent six winter sports federations in biathlon, bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, shorttrack, figure skating, speed skating, Nordic combined, mountain skiing, cross-country skiing, and hockey.

47 of the athletes are male and 10 are female.

The Beijing Olympic games take place between February 4 and 20, 2022.
