Latvian beach volleyball players Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Kravčenoka won their final match of the European Championship in Munich on Saturday, August 20 and ended the tournament with gold medals for the second time in their career.

In the final, Graudiņa/Kravčenoka defeated the Swiss duo Nina Brunner/Tanja Hiberli, who won last year's continental championship, in three sets (18:21, 21:15, 15:11).

After losing the first set, Graudiņa/Kravčenoka were able to turn the tide of the match in their favor, which allowed the duo to become champions of Europe for the second time, repeating the success achieved in 2019.

"We started this championship knowing that we were one of the favorites, knowing that we can go all the way to the medals, and the goal was a gold medal, but things don't always go so smoothly," Graudiņa told Latvian Radio after the victory.
