Gold for Latvia's Dadzīte at World Para Athletics Championships

Latvian Paralympian Diāna Dadzīte won gold in the women’s javelin F56 at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championship in Dubai on November 11.

Dadzīte's best throw was 25.54 meters. Hashemiyeh Motaghian Moavi of Iran took silver with 22.67 meters, and Raissa Rocha Moachado (Brazil) won bronze with 22.28 meters.

The 33-year-old athlete will also be throwing for Latvia in the F55 discus competition on Friday November 15.

This is Latvia's second gold medal in Dubai as Aigars Apinis won the world title in the men's discus throw F52 on Thursday, sending the discus to 21.05 meters.
