Latvia makes it two from three at ice hockey world championship

Latvia's campaign at the IIHF world championships in Denmark picked up momentum May 8 with a convincing 5:0 win against Korea.

Responding well to a mauling they took two days previously at the hands of Finland, Latvia turned in a professional performance, but one that was marred by news that an injury to squad member Martins Karsums would rule him out of the remainder of the championship.

Latvia's next game will be  mouth-watering match-up against the USA on May 10.
