New York to go Latvian in April for Knicks v Bucks

NBA Franchise the New York Knicks - home of Latvian superstar Kristaps Porziņģis - has announced plans for a special day marking 100 years of Latvian independence.

April 7 has been designated "Latvian centennial day" as part of a series of themed evenings at the home of the franchise. The game against the Milwaukee Bucks will "celebrate Latvian Heritage and Latvia's 100th Anniversary," according to the official website

Meanwhile the club is also calling on fans to vote for Porziņģis in the ongoing NBA vote to decide who plays in the famous All-Star game - and to get in the mood for April is even doing so in both English and Latvian.
