Many venues in Rīga are open for skiing, nordic walking, skating and walks.
Rīga forests are offering an interactive map to plan routes for walks, hikes, runs, nordic walking, and the like, throughout the 60,000 hectare area of forests belonging to Riga municipality. Map available here.
Four cross-country ski tracks are currently in operation: in Lucavsala, Uzvaras park, Mezaparks, and Purvciems by School No. 84. Information is available on rigaslepo.lv.
There is also a skate rink by the School No. 84, but one must first book it in groups by calling 66907244.
For nordic walking enthusiasts, fifteen tracks are currently open. Information is available on veseligsridzinieks.lv.
