Sevastova through to quarterfinals in Baltic Open

On Wednesday, July 24, Latvia's No.1 Anastasija Sevastova defeated Slovenian Dalila Jakupovič in a three set match with a score of 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-4 and reaches the quarterfinals in the Baltic Open in Jūrmala, according to tournament organizers.

Anastasija's next opponent will be revealed during the match between Valentina Ivakhnenko and Irina Bara on Thursday.

It was previously reported that Sevastova gained victory over Russian Varvara Flink. In singles, Latvia is also represented by Diāna Marcinkēviča, who has reached the second round, and Aļona Ostapenko, who lost her match in the first round.

The clay court event will have a total draw of 32 and is a WTA International event with prize money of $250,000.The Baltic Open Tournament in Latvia is organized by the Russian sports marketing agency ONE SGM, moving the tournament from Moscow, where it was held in previous years.
