“Obviously the Tour is the Tour, blah blah blah,” he joked.
While the Tour has yet to head into the proper mountains where the polka dot jersey will ultimately be won, it remains a fantastic achievement for the Latvian rider, who has already won a large number of fans for his combative and fearless riding style.
