Latvia's skeleton hero Martins Dukurs on Friday won gold at the Pyeongchang World Cup event, beating 2nd place Yun Sungbin by a nerve-wracking 0.01 seconds and scoring his 8th World Cup title. His brother Tomass finished third.

Martins scored a track record with 1:41.51. Yun Sungbin finished at 1:41.52, while Tomass flew in at 1:42.16.

The race, this season's last, of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup took place Pyeongchang in South Korea on March 17. It's the track where the 2018 Winter Olympics will happen.

After finishing second in the first run (after Sungbin), Martins scored a spectacular second run, breaking the track record and emerging victorious overall. His brother Tomass also scored an awesome run, rising to 3rd from 6th place.
