Such is the message from a project called the Ukrainian Artistic Task Force, which will be bringing contemporary Ukrainian theater to Latvia next week.
June 1 will see a production of "Bad Roads" directed by Tamara Trunova performed at Dailes Theater, Rīga, as part of a month-long tour. The production won the Schevchenko national prize 2022.
"Managers and artists, volunteering on a daily basis, continue to hold the cultural front, drawing attention to the Russian-Ukrainian war as best they can – through tours and performances that provide an opportunity to talk about Ukraine, representing the world as a strong, developed, cultural state," says the Ukrainian Artistic Task Force.
Performances are shown in Ukrainian with subtitles in the local language, and the full dates and venues are given below.
