Startups can apply directly or be nominated via the event’s website. A panel of experts will determine winners in seven categories, while the Community Choice Award will be decided by public vote.
Nominations are open to everyone, allowing individuals to submit startups in one of seven categories by completing a form on the event’s website. Applications are open until October 24, while public voting for the Community Choice Award will take place from October 11 to 29.
The awards spotlight key areas of innovation and entrepreneurial achievement:

- Newcomer
- Scaleup
- Impact
- Hardware
- Software
- Founder-Hero
Applications will be reviewed by a jury of experts from the public, private, and non-governmental sectors, each with extensive experience in the local startup ecosystem.

We believe it’s time to take pride in these achievements and celebrate them despite our usual modesty! This year’s ceremony is scheduled for December, allowing us to reflect on the year’s victories. We are excited to continue fostering a culture that embraces and celebrates success,” said Olga Barreto-Gonçalves, CEO of the Latvian Startup Association.
The Latvian Startup Awards ceremony will be hosted by the Latvian Startup Association Startin.LV and held at the Digital Art House, Skolas Street 12, Riga.
Last year, over 130 applications were received, representing startups at various stages of development. Notable winners from 2023 included Giraffe360, Aerones, and Cellbox Labs.
