Bite buys Baltcom internet service provider

The telecoms provider BITE Latvija has struck an agreement to buy the Baltcom internet support provider, Bite head Kaspars Buls told the press September 24

"Our clients will benefit as a result of the deal, and we'll be able to offer not just mobile services and ICT solutions for business clients, but also domestic internet and a list of TV channels for private individuals. There's currently a trend in the telecoms market of clients choosing integrated services," said Buls.

The Competition Council still has to approve the acquisition.

BITE Latvija last year generated sales of €99.978m with the company's profit at €14.964m.

Baltocm last year posted €17.099m in sales and a loss of €1.914m.
