Latvian startups invited to head north for sTARTUp Day 2020

Organizers of what is claimed to be "the biggest business festival in the Baltics" are inviting Latvian entrepreneurs to attend "sTARTUp Day 2020" in the southern Estonian city of Tartu on January 29-31.

"sTARTUp Day is a festival where business combines with celebration, entrepreneurship and good vibes. We believe in a startup mindset – it’s about getting things done, no matter what, getting yourself back on track after failing and always dreaming as big as possible. That’s a startup mindset – and the mindset of everyone at sTARTUp Day," organizers say.

"As sTARTUp Day is the largest start-up festival in the Baltics, its program should be able to offer something for everyone interested in start-ups and their environment," said Sven Illing, one of the organizers, promising that topics such as smart cities, space technology, science to business and health technology would all be featured.

"We've picked some interesting start-up stories, from early-stage startups to the unicorn Vinted, the first billion-dollar start-up in Lithuania," said Illing.

And in case you're wondering why we are featuring an Estonian event on this Latvian website - well, they went to the trouble of sending us all the information in Latvian, and that surely is to be encouraged!
