The distinguishing factor from other mobile houses is the wooden build instead of plastic.
The company's owner, Kaspars Juliks, created "Smart eco tiny" in October last year because he was tired of working for others. The company makes small, mobile wooden houses that are also suitable for living in winter conditions.
Showing one of the houses he produced, Juliks said there was a planned place for a washing machine, and a drop-down bed for the night. A sauna is also placed in houses produced for the Finnish market. “In Scandinavia they need a sauna everywhere,” Juliks said.
Juliks told Latvian Television that such houses had come to the US at the end of the last century, then they gradually came into Western Europe: “In Germany and France, it is very popular now and they have villages of such small houses," he said.
When building the first house, there were enough challenges, because with the trailer, the house must not be heavier than 3.5 tons so that it can be easily moved down the road.
"Smart eco tiny" plans to offer customers the opportunity to purchase these homes both ready and as a constructor, which can be put together by oneself.
