Riga to highlight investment and startups with TechChill and Venture Summit

Preparations are underway in the Latvian capital for two major events next week that will concentrate on business and investment opportunities.

February 7 will see the 2018 Riga Venture Summit (RVS), which describes itself as ''an international startup ecosystem policy roundtable discussion aiming to provide a deep dive into the realm of startup ventures. This year the topic of discussion will be focused on corporate-startup cooperation."

RVS is not just about Latvia - representatives of all three Baltic countries are invited to pitch their startup ecosystems.

Then the very next day, February 8, sees the whole Nordic Startup calendar kick off with TechChill 2018, a two-day extravaganza taking place at the recently refurbished VEF cultural center.

Pre-publicity material says:

"TechChill celebrates the best of the Baltic startup community by bringing together energetic founders, relentless entrepreneurs and passionate techies from across the region for a two-day tech chill.

Having grown from a small grassroots movement of like-minded tech enthusiasts, TechChill currently boosts 2,000 attendees, including venture capitalists, investors, mentors and the region’s most up-and-coming startups.

This year’s agenda will focus on startup superheroes – breaking down the DNA of fearless game changers, innovators and frontier explorers who will share their ultimate behind the scenes takes on startup successes and failures."

TechChill also boasts one of the coolest website designs we've seen for a long time, so is well worth checking out. All sessions will be livestreamed so you can follow online even if you can't make it in person.
